Fritz Louis – Program Director Haïti

Originally from Saint Jean du Sud, a county of the South Haitian region, Fritz works for KANPE since December 2010. Prior to assuming this role, Fritz served for eight years, as the liaison between NGOs based in the city of Naperville, Illinois and Organization of coffee producers in the county of Pestel, in the region of Grand’Anse, Haiti.

Fritz helped these organizations start up and implement community projects in the fields of agriculture, husbandry, drinking water, health, informal and formal education, and reforestation. One of the notable successes amongst these programs was the direct exportation of coffee products from the highlands of Hotte (Grand’Anse) to American cities in the Midwest. This initiative allowed coffee producers to benefit from the true value of their labours and to increase their production levels. Prior to working in Haitian development, Fritz worked in the refugee camps of Rwanda in 1993, just before the genocide.

Fritz has diplomas in Philosophy (Gregorian University, Rome, Italy), in French literature (Notre Dame du Lac University, Indiana) and in Italian (Perugia University, Perugia, Italy). He also studied in Leadership Management in the United States. Fritz represents KANPE in Haiti, and more precisely in the region of Thomonde (Central Plateau Department) where he kicked off, with our partners Fonkoze and Partners In Health, the KANPE’s integrated program.
