Agroforestry as an engine for sustainable development
We are excited to take part in the next Age of Union Alliance Open House to be held this Saturday, March 25 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the organization’s Montreal office (7049 Rue Saint-Urbain). On this occasion, our Executive Director, Jennifer Bown will share with the public our initiatives in the field of agroforestry to promote sustainable economic development in rural Haiti through the strengthening of food security and sovereignty, as well as climate resilience.
Jennifer will explain how KANPE’s agroforestry initiative, in partnership with Age of Union, has been producing and planting more than 25,000 fruit and forest trees annually since 2021 to improve vegetation cover in the community of Baille Tourible while increasing agricultural production and expanding economic opportunities.
Age of Union, a nonprofit environmental alliance founded by tech leader and environmental activist Dax Dasilva, partners with organizations around the world including KANPE to address urgent conservation challenges by supporting high-impact projects.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about and get involved in important environmental initiatives.
RSVP now here and join us on March 25th for an eye-opening discussion on practical solutions to turn the tide in Haiti, a country that has been subject to many injustices in its history.
