On August 30, Arcade Fire saved a most outstanding performance for their last show of the Reflektor tour. An eclectic crowd waited for the Montreal band at Parc Jean-Drapeau while discovering several artists who opened the show. Fraka, the group KANPE has invited to perform at both our 2013 and 2014 Kanavals, definitely got the crowd dancing with their lively Haitian rhythms.

Throughout the evening, several KANPE volunteers coordinated the activities at our booth as well as sold many items to benefit the Foundation. It was also an opportunity to share the progress made ??on the ground since the creation of the Foundation with supporters of Haiti.

As always, Arcade Fire demonstrated their desire to stand alongside the Haitian people by donating $1 for every ticket sold to the KANPE Foundation. Therefore, from that evening alone, $25,000 was given so that the Foundation can continue its work in supporting Haitian families towards financial autonomy.
