As Stevie Wonder famously sang, “Music is a world within itself / with a language we all understand / with an equal opportunity / for all to sing, dance, and clap their hands.”

In September 2014, KANPE’s Program Coordinator brought a music instructor to Baille Tourible! Mr. Jean Germain Duvelsaint, saxophone and flute player from Thomonde, will be teaching the village children how to play a variety of band instruments. Mr. Duvelsaint will instruct the budding musicians from October to March 2015.

The benefits of music education are abundant – it can inspire children in many creative ways, provide them with an outlet, and bring about success. KANPE is proud to bring music education to the youth of Baille Tourible.
