KANPE and APJ raise over $ 250,000 at exclusive Montreal gala

July 9, 2019

Saturday, June 8 was the first Artists for Peace and Justice x KANPE gala at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal, with exclusive performances by members of Arcade Fire, Paul Beaubrun, Michael Brun, and DJ Jerico.

During the evening, Arcade Fire received the Peace and Justice Activist Award for all its support of Haiti, through organizations such as The KANPE Foundation (co-founded by Régine Chassagne and MP Dominique Anglade in 2010), Partners in Health, and Plus1.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests, the evening raised over 250,000 $CA for the benefit of KANPE and APJ’s missions in Haiti.

We are very grateful to :

– Artists for Peace and Justice and its Montreal Committee
– Dominique Anglade and Régine Chassagne, co-founders of KANPE
– Win Butler, Tim Kingsbury, Sarah Neufeld and Richard Reed Parry from Arcade Fire
– Michael Brun and Paul Beaubrun
