KANPE Kanaval 2017 at Le Métropolis of Montreal

KANPE Kanaval is an unmissable event set in the cold winter of Montreal and echoing Haiti’s warm carnival season. This year KANPE Kanaval will take place at the Metropolis (Montreal) and will be hosted by evenko.

This event, celebrating Haitian culture, is a carnival of solidarity. All event proceeds will go to The KANPE Foundation to support its mission in Haiti.

KANAVAL 2017 WILL BE HOSTED BY…
Actor and director Jason Sudeikis (renowned for his years on Saturday Night Live and his leading roles in films such as Horrible Bosses, Mother’s Day and We’re the Millers), joined by host Anne-Marie Withenshaw!

SPECIAL GUESTS AND PERFORMERS
Like every year, celebrated artists will take the stage one by one to bring the room to life.

Arcade Fire will perform on stage during the event. It will be the group’s first on-stage appearance in Montreal since August 30th, 2014.

Paul Beaubrun is a Haitian singer and songwriter.
The actor and singer Gardy Fury.
Fwonte is a Montreal-based Haitian artist who has made a name for himself in the emerging Creole rap scene and the world 2.0 phenomenon across the globe.
Planet Giza is is a trio of artists exploiting the likes of House music , Funk, Hip-Hop and even New Jack Swing to give a refreshing sound to their audience.
Pierre Kwenders is a Canadian singer and songwriter.
Rara Soley is a Montreal music group whose mission is to promote and preserve Haitian traditional culture.
Diolkidi, Ti-Will and Jean-Nazaire Baptiste.
Debby Friday is a DJ based in Montreal.
Tito Maréchal Blues Créole is a Haitian singer-songwriter.
Gayance is a DJ based in Montreal.
The dancers presented by 100 Lux, OBNL aiming to support the professionalization of urban dancers!
DJ Windows 98, aka Win Butler of Arcade Fire, will take over the turntables for a DJ set.
