As you may have heard, the security situation in Haiti has recently worsened, leading to a state of emergency declaration in Port-au-Prince, the capital, since Sunday. We remain concerned about the situation and hope for a quick resolution to the current unrest.

So far the communities we support, nestled in the mountains of the Central Plateau, have been spared from the tumult due to their geographical location. We want to assure you that our team on the ground in the Central Plateau is safe, as well as the local population. Despite the situation, schools remain open, and the clinic continues to provide care to the population.

We sincerely hope for a peaceful resolution that allows the population to resume their daily activities, and the emergence of favourable conditions to continue both their reconstruction efforts and the creation of economic opportunities.
