Hugo Merveille– COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Hugo Merveille joined KANPE Foundation in July 2019 as Communications Manager. He is also in charge of the donor recognition program.

Before assuming this position, Hugo worked for several years as a Writing and Dissemination Officer at the Programme national de mentorat sur le VIH et les hépatites in Montreal. He also had a long career as a journalist in Port-au-Prince (Haiti) at the newspaper Le Nouvelliste and the cultural magazine TICKET where he held the position of editorial assistant. He has also worked in the Communications section of the United Nations Mission in Haiti.

Hugo holds a master’s degree in Social Communications from the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Very concerned by social issues in general, and particularly those related to the development in Haiti, he often used his pen to paint his home country in a positive light by highlighting its wealth, culture and resources.
