Irvyne Lafortune Jean-Baptiste – Project & Operations Manager
Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Irvyne has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in both the private and the nonprofit sectors in Haiti. She has professional experience in banking, microcredit, budgeting, and project management.
Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Rochester (USA). In 1995, she started working in the humanitarian and social sector; this experience gave her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life of vulnerable people in Haiti. She loved the challenge she faced as a junior project manager traveling in remote areas of Haiti and it did not take long for her to discover that bringing positive change to the life of underprivileged people in Haiti was her calling.
Irvyne has a long career in the nonprofit sector in Haiti where she worked as a humanitarian project manager for nonprofit organizations like Fonkoze and Zanmi Lasante.
Irvyne joined the KANPE family in March 2021 as a Project and Operations Manager. She deeply believes in KANPE’s mission and values.
