Students in Baille Tourible are back to school

October 29, 2019
Young Nadjeska Ulysses, 6 years old, goes to school this year for the very first time. Despite the crisis in Haiti and the teachers’ strike affecting nearly 90% of schools, students have returned to school in Baille Tourible thanks to the efforts of our partner Summits Education.

Nadjeska is proud to wear her blue and white plaid shirt and her little blue skirt, the national school uniform. She is already leafing through her book, all excited. When she grows up, she sees herself as a doctor like Dr. Fanette Nicolas who runs the clinic in her community. We wish her a beautiful first school year!

We thank the teachers, Summits Education, and our director Fritz Louis for their efforts.
