This Earth Day, we are proud to contribute to a clean and sustainable energy future by helping the community of Baille Tourible take advantage of Haiti’s abundant solar energy.

Since the end of last year, the installation of solar equipment has produced over 10 kilowatts of electricity, covering the energy needs of the clinic as well as the primary and secondary schools. In addition, thirteen street lights have been installed at several strategic locations to provide lighting for the community at night, revitalizing nightlife and allowing school children to continue their study activities in the evening.

This shift to solar power was necessary not only to address the gasoline shortage that was plaguing Haiti and threatening our operations in the community, but also to preserve the environment in Baille Tourible.
