Enabling women to strengthen their community

February 10, 2021

About fifteen women, members of three associations in the community that we support in the Central Plateau in Haiti, benefitted at the end of January from training aimed at equipping them with tools that will allow them to play an active role in change within their community.

The specific objectives of this training session were to:
– equip women’s organizations with tools to ensure their proper functioning.
– help women’s organizations to better structure themselves.
– help women’s organizations to better manage the interests of their members and become true forces of change within the community.

During the regular meetings of the organizations, the participants will pass on the skills they have acquired to other members.

By empowering women with tools to reduce poverty and ensure gender equality, our leadership actions to strengthen local capacity are in line with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.
