KANPE is looking for a General Manager

The KANPE Foundation (a Creole word meaning “to stand up”) was launched in July 2010 by a group of Quebec citizens, including singer and leader of the group Arcade Fire, Régine Chassagne, and businesswoman Dominique Anglade. KANPE’s goal is to fight the cycle of poverty in Haiti and to promote financial autonomy for the families and communities from there through its comprehensive program.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the General Manager will be responsible for the organization’s operations. He oversees the work of a small coordination team, made up of two people (one person based in Haiti) and of different volunteers (experts, consultants…).

He has extensive experience in fundraising including corporate donations campaign, special events management, and annual fundraising activities. He demonstrates a strong ability in organizing, planning and in project management. He is recognized for his competencies and leadership to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams. With excellent communication skills, the candidate is bilingual and fluent in spoken and written French and English. He holds a university degree in administration or relevant discipline for this position and has a recognized experience in managing a non-profit organization.
