Lots of fresh vegetables to start 2021

January 4, 2021

In Haiti, the community we support in the Central Plateau welcomes 2021 with lots of fresh vegetables in its 500 subsistence gardens. Tomatoes, spinach, eggplant, chili, bell peppers, leeks, or chayote… the subsistence gardens are overflowing with vegetables.

The threat of food insecurity has increased as a result of the COVID19 pandemic.

These gardens allow 500 of the community’s most vulnerable families to grow their own food and sell their surplus in local markets.
