Our Actions
In rural Haiti, the cost of healthcare is a heavy economic burden that impoverishes families and limits their ability to invest in the future. KANPE supports community health through:
- A community clinic serving over 25,000 people: In partnership with Zanmi Lasante, KANPE supports a local clinic that provides free, tailored healthcare, including general medical consultations, prenatal and postnatal care, child vaccination, access to essential medicines, and awareness campaigns on common illnesses and prevention.
- Commitment to women’s and girls’ health: More than 70% of clinic patients are women and children. We create safe spaces for girls, provide sexual and reproductive health services, and organize educational workshops to empower them to take control of their health and future.
- Access to clean water and hygiene: KANPE also addresses health determinants by developing projects that improve access to safe water and sanitation, reducing the spread of diseases.

- Sustainable access to healthcare: The community clinic provides nearly 24,000 residents with free quality care, reducing geographic and financial barriers to essential health services.
- Improved maternal and child health: Prenatal and postnatal care, along with vaccinations, contribute to better-managed pregnancies and stronger protection for children against preventable diseases.
- Empowered women and girls: With over 70% of patients being women, the clinic plays a central role in sexual and reproductive health, information access, and female autonomy.

- Healthier living conditions: Water and hygiene projects reduce the spread of disease and improve the long-term health of rural families.
