Women’s entrepreneurship projects change the power dynamics within families by giving them greater control over the decisions that affect their lives. With this in mind, KANPE launched a microcredit program for women this summer.

Managed by a local organization, this project allows more than 70 women from three women’s associations to have access to low-interest loans. They use the money to diversify their businesses or launch new projects.

This week, they had an appointment for a 3rd repayment on the amount borrowed. So far the program is a success. Well done ladies!

??Thanks to the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Québec for their support to this project.
