At KANPE, change always brings new momentum. Today, we are pleased to share some wonderful news about our governance, both in Canada and the United States. Familiar faces returning, new ones joining, and an unwavering conviction: local and collective leadership is at the heart of all lasting transformation.
Dominique Anglade Returns to KANPE United States
Wonderful news for the KANPE family! Dominique Anglade, co-founder of the foundation, is resuming the chairmanship of the KANPE United States Board of Directors. Having helped build KANPE from its very beginnings, she returns with the same passion and a renewed vision for the years ahead.
“Taking on the chairmanship of the KANPE USA Foundation’s Board of Directors is a natural continuation of my commitment to this organization, which I co-founded more than 15 years ago. I am honoured to contribute to this new phase of growth for the Foundation and to continue expanding opportunities for rural communities in Haiti,” she shared enthusiastically.
We are also welcoming Phil Ianniello, who leads Bank of America Securities’ Investment Banking, as a new member of the KANPE USA Board of Directors. His arrival reflects the growing interest in our community-rooted approach.
“I am very pleased to join KANPE’s Board of Directors. In a world marked by conflict, seeing such a dedicated group create concrete, community-grounded impact driven by local leadership is deeply inspiring. It is a privilege to contribute to KANPE’s essential mission of supporting communities toward lasting change,” he expressed.
Rose Lyndsay Daudier, New Chair in Canada
In Canada, it is with great pride that we announce the appointment of Rose Lyndsay Daudier as Chair of the Board of Directors. Executive Director of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Quebec Division, and a Board member since 2018, she is a true embodiment of the values of solidarity and commitment that drive KANPE.
“My early trips to Haiti during childhood revealed the depth of inequality to me, and I quickly asked myself how I could help. That awareness shaped both my academic path (urban planning, law, and management) and my professional journey, always in service of the well-being of communities. Joining KANPE felt like a natural choice. Today, I am honoured to continue this mission that keeps me close to my roots and to the rural communities of Haiti,” she confided.
Charles Létourneau, a Board member since 2018 and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre patronal SST, will continue his involvement as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors. A truly valued pillar of the foundation!
“The mission of the KANPE Foundation reminds us of something essential: you can only change a life by creating the conditions for it to transform in a lasting way. For me, KANPE is above all a matter of the heart, and I am proud to continue contributing, alongside the Board, to amplifying its impact in the years ahead,” he noted.
We are also delighted to welcome Dr. Danielle Perreault to our Board of Directors. A family physician, educator, and hands-on practitioner, she brings invaluable experience gained both in Canada and in international humanitarian settings.
“Through my fieldwork, I have seen how communities, even in the most challenging circumstances, carry within them an extraordinary capacity for resilience. Joining KANPE means supporting that energy by investing in solutions that emerge from the ground up and belong to the communities themselves. I am honoured to contribute to this profoundly human endeavour,” she said.
Thank You, Déborah Cherenfant
These transitions are also an opportunity to warmly thank Déborah Cherenfant, outgoing Chair of the Canadian Board. Through her vision and dedication, she has left a lasting mark on KANPE’s governance. Thank you, Déborah, for everything you have brought to our mission.
These changes fill us with hope and energy for what lies ahead. Together, standing strong, we continue to move forward alongside the rural communities of Haiti.
