International Women’s Day was celebrated with great fanfare yesterday in Baille Tourible. Dance, song, and theater marked the day. A colorful parade went through the community accompanied by the music of the marching band.
It was also an opportunity to learn more about the date of March 8 and the great feminist movement for the promotion and defense of women’s rights, especially in the Haitian context.
